Happy Holidays to all you Colorful Beings
2010 is almost here and I know most everyone is looking forward to a new year filled with new opportunities.  The colors of Black and Silver will be our colors for 2010 we need to embrace the strength of the black for focus and protection while we hold the light of the silver to remind us of the beauty in the simple things in life.
  BLACK
Represents transformation, focus and protection
Black indicates willingness to experience transformation.  Most of us fear emotional pain and try to avoid it at all costs, yet sometimes it is a means to our transformation.  Low points in life can teach us what life is all about.  During difficult times in our lives, we have faced the shadow side of our selves – that part that wants to stay hidden.  Here, we have allowed ourselves to learn from our thoughts, feelings, and actions that we would like to ignore or remove.  Encountering this part of our selves has given us great strength to move on with gratitude and humility to the next step on our paths.  Through these experiences, we have been allowed to develop courage, will, perseverance, and clarity.
As foreboding as black may seem, it carries healing and hope within it.  The black energy cares enough to push us to our limits in order for gusto to return.  When we understand the true strength of black, we will thank if for what Black has done for us.  Our strength has come from embracing what we have learned.
Black is a combination of all the colors of the spectrum; therefore, it has all the possibilities. We are open to the possibilities.  This has given us opportunities to learn in many ways.  All we have learned will be valuable to us in our lives and in our ability to help others.
Beauty is not so much what we see, but what we experience.  Black truly can be beautiful, full of warmth and caring, love and desire for our best.  Behind the mask may be a soul of love.  When we embrace that soul it changes our lives by bringing forth our courage.
Black’s lesson is that of let go and let GOD move on!
That solid confidence
 SILVER
Moonbeams unaffected by the darkness, soft and intuitive
The strength in silver lies in its ability to shimmer in the darkness.  Like a ray of moonlight, silver can bring light into the midst of negativity and hopelessness.  The silver moonbeam is unaffected by the darkness around it.  It is not diminished by it.  Doubt, hopelessness, grief, and suffering cannot overcome the silver light.  Instead, it brings healing through its soft glow.  Those who feel alone may find comfort in this glow; those who see not hope may find beauty, peace, and possibilities in this glow.  Where there is criticism, silver brings appreciation and value.
Silver symbolizes togetherness in love.  We may find that silver brings people together in love.  Like lovers in the moonlight, a silver ring on the finger, a silver bowl of remembrance and festivity, the silver lining of a cloud, silver marks happy times and special times to remember.  Love makes life special in many small ways.  Though love is not splashy, it is constant.  Silver helps people to remember the good life, the beauty in simple things.
Silver brings a lesson in paying attention to the simple things in life.
Silver reminds is that life is to be celebrated.

RED is the Color for Jan 2010

RED Vibration

Vibrationally speaking, red has the slowest visible wavelength, and yet it is the most stimulating of all the colors. If we take a moment to reflect on how the color red is used in our culture, we see just how true that is. Fast-food restaurants have known this fact for a long time and make liberal use of red to get you in and out of their establishments quickly. We talk about "painting the town red" when we want some excitement in our lives, the most popular sports car color is red, and when someone is on a winning streak, we say they are "red-hot." On the other hand, anger is an emotion that has long been associated with the color red, as in "seeing red,&quo t; and we always depict the Devil in a red suit. As you can see, red, like every color, has its challenging as well as its positive aspects:

ORANGE is the COLOR
of the month for
February 2010

ORANGE Vibration

The ORANGE vibration is best associated with bliss. When we think of the saffron robes of the Buddhist monks, we begin to get a feel for the deep rapture and insight that this color represents. ORANGE is often a color that evokes strong feelings, both of like and dislike, which is understandable when we know what its positive as well as its challenging aspects represent. We may be drawn to ORANGE, because it represents who we truly are, or we may be drawn to it, because we have an intense need for it. On the other hand, we may be repelled by it, because we are unwilling to look at our intense need for it, i.e., it represents an area so painful, we are not comfortable looking at it. This situation is true of all the colors, but it is particularly true of ORANGE, because ORANGE'S challenging aspect represents trauma:

Color Complement:  BLUE

YELLOW is the
Color for March 2010

YELLOW Vibration

We cannot help but think of the sun and the warmth and promise of bright sunshine when we think of the color YELLOW.  Yellow on the physical body vibrates to the area of the solar plexus energy center. Research has shown that yellow has an uplifting and brightening effect that is very helpful with depression. We have all heard about how sunlight deprivation can lead to a syndrome called SAD (seasonal affective disorder) and it is well documented that geographical areas that have reduced amounts of sunshine have elevated suicidal levels.

Another area of yellow that you may not be aware of is its association with the intellect. Don't we often describe someone with a good mind as “bright?” What could be brighter than sunshine? On the other hand, let's consider the expressions, "yellow-bellied coward" or someone who has a "yellow streak down his back," indicating quite a different side to yellow and displaying that it, like every color, has its challenging aspects as well as its positive ones. Yellow is sunshine, joy, happiness, acquired knowledge and intellectual fulfillment.

Color Complement:   Purple/Violet is the vibrational color that is opposite to yellow.

I must say something about astrology and the planets as we have all felt the impact of
Mars retrograde since Dec.

Finally March is here.  This is a big month celestially because Mars, planet of energy and action, goes direct on the 10th in 0 Leo!  This is a double horray!

When a planet is retrograde, it appears to be moving backwards in the heavens, and that's how it feels here on earth.  Where is Leo in your natal chart?  Thins may have been on hold in this area of life.  After the 10th of March everyone's energy moves forward.

Look for 0 Leo in your birth chart.  That's where the action will start for you.  Keep in mind that only after Mars returns to 19 Leo 43, the point at which it went retrograde in December, will we have truly learned the lesson of the retrograde Mars.  This will occur on May 17th.

The New Moon is on the 15th in 25 Pisces 10.  See where it falls in your natal chart.  That's the area of new beginnings.

The Full Moon on the 29th is in 9 Libra 17.  Wherever it falls in your natal chart is the area where things come to a head and go POP!

GREEN
is the COLOR
of the month for April

GREEN Vibration
Do not use green on open cuts to stop bleeding, it prevents blood clotting.  Use blue. Vibration
Green is right at the vibrational center of the color-frequency spectrum, and right at the center of the physical body is the Heart , represented by the color GREEN. As one might suspect, green is a harmonizing color, able to bring balance by keeping us centered in our Hearts and not our heads. Small wonder that the predominant color in Nature is green.  This explains why we feel so refreshed and revitalized when we spend some time outdoors. Nature allows us to stay Heart-centered, to honor our emotions, and our intuitive feelings by bathing and surrounding us in green. It is also a color associated with abundance and prosperity. It certainly is no coincidence that our currency is green and popularly known as the "greenback."  As with all colors, green has challenging as well as positive qualities.  This is apparent in expressions such as "the green-eyed monster" and "green with envy."

Therapeutic value of GREEN
Green is the master healer, and affects the whole system.  Beneficial to the sympathetic nervous system, green increases vitality.  Green is used for kidneys and liver.  Green is useful for promoting general healing, restoration and balance.  Green is good for when one is unsure of what color to use.  Too little green creates gall bladder problems.  Green eye shades help the optic nerve (do not over do the green).

Do not use green on open cuts to stop bleeding, it prevents blood clotting.  Use blue.
Color Complement:  Red is the vibrational color that is opposite yellow.

Astrologically April will be a big month because Mercury, planet of communication goes retrograde on the 18th in Taurus.

When a planet goes retrograde, it appears to be moving backwards in the heavens, and that is how it feels here on earth.  Mercury rules our communication, correspondence and transportation.  This is a good time to think before you speak.

When Mercury is retrograde it is a great time to re-think the events relating to the house in which Mercury goes retrograde.  It is wise to avoid beginning new projects during this time as we can change our minds once Mercury goes direct on May 11th.  Tie up loose ends, complete unfinished projects, if in the market for a new car wait until Mercury goes direct, it is also a good idea to wait until Mercury is direct to sign papers unless they were started before the retrograde.  If you must begin a new project, it may be because you are actually finishing up a project that was begun during a previous Mercury retrograde.  For those born in a Mercury retrograde things that seemed muddled become much clearer.

Our New Moon is on the 14th in do-it-now Aries.  Wherever Aries falls in your natal chart is the area of new beginnings for you.

The full Moon is on the 28th in all-or-nothing Scorpio check where Scorpio falls in your natal chart as this is the area where things come to a head and go BOOM!

Astrological we are all under the influence of Saturn squaring Pluto for most of this year.  Pluto is money and debt and Saturn is sensible and practical our teacher.  Everyone is thinking about money and how to handle their finances, their debts and their future.  Most folks are being more careful and prudent with their money.  The US is in financial trouble and it is affecting the majority of our people.  Saturn says change but Saturn takes time.  Saturn says take time plan, pay attention to details and have patience.  Spring is here and the sun has moved into Aries so we should all be feeling a surge of excitement and energy.

April will be an exciting month at the House of Color as we have Richard Shulman coming to perform a concert for us "Consciousness Through Music"  visit our calendar of events for details sign up early as seating is limited

BLUE is the Color for May 2010

BLUE Vibration
BLUE is surely one of the most beloved colors of the spectrum.  We think of how Mother Mary is most often portrayed in “heavenly blue,” symbolic of her peace giving and tranquil nature. We think of the sky and the sense of peacefulness and calmness we have when we bask in its glow.  Think of the ocean and its soothing nature.  It is a well-documented fact that blue is the color most favored by men, probably because it not only assists them with their communication, but also helps balance their naturally aggressive nature.  Expressions like “suffering from the blues”, “feeling blue”, and “singing the blues” gives us an idea of the challenging side of blue.

Therapeutic Value of BLUE
Blue dissolves nervousness, and cramps caused by stress.  Blue decreases the blood pressure and the frequency of the heart.  Blue is the purest, coldest and deepest of colors, bringing peaceful, recreation, as well as relaxation, sleep, and rejuvenation.  Blue is the most important healing color involving problems with the climate, and it also prevents tumor growth.  Blue is cold electric and has qualities of shrinking growths.  With infections the color blue can be used to produce a calming and cooling effect.  Blue is a meditation color used for spiritual growth, intuition and a higher level of mental qualities.  With too much blue many people become tired or depressed.  Use Blue vibrations for neck and throat.  Blue vibrations are helpful for inflammation, swelling, fevers, sunstroke, hyperactivity, insomnia, menstrual problems, calming the nerves, bites, and bruises or itching.  Blue is very helpful in lowering fevers, BLUE also assists in stopping bleeding.

Color Complement:  Orange is the vibrational color that is opposite BLUE

Avoid BLUE:  When tired or depressed.  Too much BLUE can encourage passivity and rigidity.

Well April has certainly been an interesting month with Mercury retrograde.  Mercury entered its retrograde on April 17 in the sign of Taurus and will continue its retrograde until May 11th.  Taurus is ruled by Venus which is the ruler of our second house which is our values and resources.  We are all looking at our issues around money and our self worth, (what are we worth).  This is a good time to keep an eye on our spending and look at what is important to us, let's think about what we really need.  With Mercury retrograde in Taurus we can be impulsive and inconsistent with our spending habits.  When Mercury is retrograde it is a wonderful time to review our self worth our worthiness.  Mercury rules our communication so many of us (with the exception of those born with Mercury in retrograde) are challenged in being clear with our communication and our thinking.  This is a time when we can expect to get our dates and times mixed up along with our computers or other equipment malfunctioning.  The sun entered Taurus on April 22nd putting more pressure on us individually as well as globally to revisit our value system.  When you throw the full moon in on April 28th in Scorpio this has offered us the opportunity to let go of the past and move forward.  Mercury retrograde is a wonderful time to review our past and let go of all that holds us back.  A big welcome to May new opportunities and with BLUE being our color of the month this gives us the opportunity to speak up and speak our truth we have Mercury back on track on May 11th and our teacher Saturn goes direct on May 30th less restrictions more freedom hooray!

INDIGO is the color of the Month for June

INDIGO is actually a combination of blue and violet, two of our most spiritual colors.  INDIGO, therefore, has an ethereal quality, a sense of other-worldliness and is associated with the ability to see beyond normal sight.  INDIGO personalities are able to meditate at very deep levels.  INDIGO has a humanist quality to it.  INDIGO gives a new meaning to the word integrity.  This color, like all others, has its challenging as well as its positive aspects.  INDIGO can lead one to pay attention only to that which is spiritual, forgetting to deal with the day-to-day world.

The complementary color to INDIGO is GOLD

Therapeutic value of INDIGO purifies the body including the blood, helps with eye and ear problems including deafness.  INDIGO is a powerful color and needs to be used sparingly.  INDIGO provides relief from pain (extreme), stimulates parathyroid, depresses thyroid, builds phagocytes in the spleen, works well for acute bronchitis, convulsions, nervous ailments, lung and nasal problems, tonsillitis, and whooping cough.  INDIGO can be beneficial for those who suffer from migraine headaches.  INDIGO acts as an astringent for tightening and toning muscles, nerves, skin and is very helpful when there is bruising on the body.  INDIGO filters out radiation.  INDIGO is wonderful increasing your dream activity.

Astrologically speaking June is a very important month for all of us because we have the first of the summer eclipses on the 26th with the Full Moon.

When we have an eclipse things really happen!  The Full Moon and lunar eclipse is on the 26th in the very practical serious sign of Capricorn.  Where the eclipse falls in your natal chart is the area of life where the action will take place.  Eclipses are powerful as we feel them about a week before they occur and for several months afterward.  They are the strongest about three months after they occur.  Wherever Capricorn falls in your Natal chart is the area where things will come to a head this will occur again in Sept and Oct.

In Chinese Astrology this is the year of the TIGER I think we can all relate to the TIGER energy!!!

Alaska was wonderful I returned to the Fort Worth, TX area on May 23rd re-energized from the amazing energy of Alaska the energy there is the most powerful I have ever felt and I have been traveling to high energy areas for many years what a vortex Alaska is.  Great energy wonderful people.

Please check our calendar of events at our web site www.colorvibration.com for those of you interested in our classes CEU's are available.  Color Therapy is a powerful tool for personal growth and for practitioners in their practices.  CEU's are also avilable for our Correspondence Course.

Greetings to all you Colorful Beings

PURPLE is the color for the month of July

Wishing you all a Colorful and safe 4th of JULY

Vibrationally, Purple/Violet is the fastest of the color rays (as opposed to red, which is the slowest) and is the most sedating and soothing of all the colors.  Violet, or purple, is a color often associated with royalty and the crowned heads of Europe, an interesting "coincidence," don't you think?  If we think about the qualities of a true leader are, then we being to get a sens of what Violet is about--most particularly its affinity to service and spiritual completion.  On the other hand, if we think about the qualities associated with an out-of-balance leader, we will see some of the challenging aspects of Purple/Violet--arrogance, aloofness and an unwillingness to be of service.  Purple/Violet  mixes the heavenly blue with the earthly red, so it says keep your feet on the earth and always reach for the heavens.  Leonardo Da Vinci said the power of medication could increase ten times by the use of the Violet light.

Therapeutic value of Purple/Violet

In color therapy Purple/Violet is looked at to be an inspirational and spiritual color.  Purple/Violet  stimulates the spleen and builds white blood cells.  Purple/Violet lowers blood pressure, depresses lymph and motor nerves.  It maintains potassium and sodium balance in the body.  Purple/Violet is used for bladder trouble, concussion, cramps, epilepsy, over active kidney, neuralgia, nervous and mental disorders, rheumatism, and sciatica, scalp and skin disorders.  Purple/Violet depresses all overactive glands and organs.  It is a heart depressant, relaxes and soothes the nerves from over excitement or over stimulation.  Purple/Violet curbs diarrhea, and induces deep relaxed sleep.  It helps relieve headaches especially neuralgic.  It stimulates adrenal glands.  Purple/Violet stimulates activity in the veins, depresses kidney action, induces sleep, and lowers body temperature.  Use Purple/Violet solarized water for indigestion.  Purple/Violet helps with emotional problems, kills bacteria and heals skin rashes.

The Complementary Color to Purple/Violet is YELLOW

Astrologically Speaking Hold onto your seats here comes firey July, we had a Lunar Eclipse on June 26th with the moon in Capricorn it was in a tight conjunction with intense/powerful Pluto.  The June full moon eclipse formed a Grand Square with the Sun and other planets.  Many of you probably felt like you were in a box with a lot of pressure.  Pluto energy is very powerful and a little goes a long way, this is a wonderful time to take a look at our lives and decide how we want to transform any negative into positive.

Now we will have another Eclipse in July however this will be a Solar Eclipse on July 11th this in the nurturing sign of Cancer.  An Eclipse gives us an opportunity for new beginnings.  Our full moon in July will be on the 25th and it is in Aquarius.  Now Aquarius is our unpredictable rebel, ready to shock and amaze us, they are all about personal freedom check where Aquarius is in your natal chart and this is where the energy will be for you on the full moon.

Greetings to all you Colorful Beings

Did you know that each individual has a life color (their personality color) some of us have only one life color and some have overlays with up two  or three colors along with their primary life color.  For the next few months we will discuss different life colors, see if you can find your life color.

This month let's talk about those wonderful individuals whose life color is RED personalities (or life colors) are unique people.  I have a very healthy respect for them.  Of all the colors, they are absolutely the most honest.  What you see is what you get!  They are pioneers, entrepreneurs, and whatever they do they do it with great passion. REDS pursue life with courage and passion.  Physical expression is very important to them.  They enjoy being on the planet and interacting with the physical environment.  REDS prefer a physical challenge rather than a mental or emotional one.  They are very down to earth and want to make things happen.  They are curious and enjoy seeing immediate results from their work or ideas. REDS understand the word action.  REDS exhibit the qualities of honor, trustworthiness and practicality.  They have an explosive temper, which can be an emotional liability.  REDS need and want others in their lives.  REDS are intense and energetic living life to it's fullest is their motto.  REDS do need action to prove to them that they are living life to their fullest potential.

Remember REDS are wonderful entrepreneurs and do best in their own business, they are the initiators and pioneers.

The lesson for REDS is to be themselves.  They must not allow the judgments of other people to make them feel guilty or stop them from living their lives to the fullest.

For the REDS who need a little help moving into their power I would suggest you embrace medical grade essential oils (for more information on essential oils go to our products page and look under essential oils).

I will give you two choices that would be very helpful; one is a blend called Moving Forward which has been found to be helpful with releasing physical and emotional issues, it is also very grounding this is beneficial when pioneering a new venture.  The other is what I refer to as a single note Ylang Ylang, this oil can enhance relationships and balance energies.  Many times when we are in fear about our security and issues of money (this applies to all colors) we experience lower back or root energy discomfort.  The two medical grade essential oils that have just been recommended vibrate to the color RED and will help eliminate the fears that are related to our lower back issues.

If you are interested in learning what your life color (personality color) is please contact us we offer a questionnaire that will give you these answers.

Wishing you all a very COLORFUL August.
